Mexico city journey-day 3

Time go fast at Mexico, it's already my last day here. We decided spend the morning at Zocalo and the whole Centro historico. But the thing did not going well, however I ate the best tacos in the planet.

The church is huge, above all, beautiful, with all the incredible delicacy carving, I was impressed, but neither of us a religion fan, so we just did a tour outside.

 This s very tourism spot, so you can find all the american chain store as you want, including McDonald or H&M.

This place is not attractive for me as St-Angel, so we just did a fast tour and headed to Condesa. I hear most of wealthy people were living here in this area once before an earthquake ruined everything, that is why they moved to Polanco and live until today, please tell me if is true. However this a very beautiful ,charming place.

Mexico city journey-day 1,2

Before I start this post, I really want to share my happiness with you guys, I have been waiting this trip so long, the idea to go to the Mexico came out 2012's summer, I talk every day I much I want to make it for real, but unfortunately, I all the summer in Montreal.

 I arrived at Mexico city around 4, after put down my luggage, it was already dark outside, so we just took a stroll around the hotel. Zona Rosa, a beautiful area, quite lively in the night time. We had the dinner in a kind of tourist restaurant, but still, it is nice to have a pina colada in the breeze, actually very nice!

 Second day, We visited the Angel de la independencia for first, because it is just next of our hotel. How lucky we are for getting a sunny day!

This place takes us at 10 minutes to figure out how to get there because the cars passed around whom do not stop.

Beautiful Mexican style architecture!

We arrived at Polanco from Zona Rosa, by walk, with heel, challenge accomplished! So much pain, but much more fun. There have a park, but most of park and museum are closed the monday.

Polanco is bit different than other place in Mexico, more wealthy. All the luxury stores are located here, the bistros are adorable.

Afternon I insisted to take a look at local market, for expericing the life they live in.

Besides metro and bus, Mexico have a other public transport called metrobus, a path in the middle of the road is reserve espacially for them.

We have a restaurant reservation at St- Angel at evenning, so we decided come early to kown better this area.

I was quite surprise by the view, very beautiful, but with a touch of Eurpe, many handicrafy shop instelled along the street. Each shop have thier own character, it is nice place to buy the gift.

A great number of churchs are located here, most of them are huge and gorgeous. Unfortunnaly, I am a girl carry no fate.

NYC journey-day 3

Half year passed away and my last post about my latest NYC visit is coming today, can I be more productive. 

 Some of my friend asked me why I do not choose a better background to takes photos, but without those amazing things behind, is not New York at all

I was so excited about this trip to Mexico, so the hotel and the restaurants were booked two weeks ago before our departure. It is my first time to try a mexico cuisine in a fine dining way, I can not tell curious I am.

Our waiter name Alejandro,  it is the only things that I understood. He is a very nice guy, explain the dish with patient, even though he knew that I can not understand the Spanish. Now I feel so sorry about him, because I took plenty of photos and I did not even pretend to hear.

When this dish is coming up, I know the whole meal gonna be very interesting. Peel the plastic, a piece of bread is jumping out. Peel the bread, a piece of meat is jumping out, wrap after wrap, like a gift at Christmas eve.

I bet you are very familiar with this if you are a Mexican, it is a old version of a Mexico city's metro ticket. When a dish turn this fun, who gonna cares about taste.

Eating in foreign always take more courage, because you never know what is exactly in your plate. I can't tell what is just looking at. It is actually raw shrimp. I am a tartare holic, so I have been eaten a lot of kind raw ingredient, like bison,wapiti and other weird stuff, but raw shrimp, it is very first time. However, the dish taste pretty good, lot of flavors mix together explode like a bomb.

Tacos, the food you can never ride of whatever eating on the street or in a fancy restaurant.

This is a egg yolk, take the container and swallow through your throat.

D.I.Y your own tacos with the corn skin baked chichen

This is damn good, the best dish of the meal, the best dish of the year or I am thinking best dish forever. A raw egg yolk is hiding in the middle, you blend the guacamole and the tacos chips, heaven melt in the mouth.

The two desserts are very different than the american style dessert. At north american, the chef is more familiar with nut and chocolate those kind of ingredient, however if you see the fruit, 80% of chance that they are the berries or orange. This time, the tropical fruits had been mostly use, taste very fresh.

Kind of Breaking Bad process for making a tea

This restaurant deserve me to come back, you don't have the feeling to eat in a restaurant like a usual dinner, it most like explore a new cuisine in a very fun way! This place is defiantly a 10!
